The second annual “Giving is Gorges” campaign is set to happen on May 4, 2016 as a day to encourage philanthropy inside of the community. Non-profit organizations within Tompkins County and the surrounding areas are encouraged to take part in this day of giving, and the Village at Ithaca is one of the many organizations taking part in this event!
Last year, the Village took part in the inaugural event, and this year, we decided to push ourselves to set even higher goals, and that’s where our audience will come in! Our goal is to be in the top ten fundraisers among the different organizations; and would really love to double the funds we raised last year.
The money we raise from our donors allows us to fund our different education programs, like the Family Advocacy Program, the Student Success Center, the Let’s Get Ready! college preparation course, and the Path of Success seminar. These programs are designed to fit the Village’s mission statement to raise, educate, affirm, and inspire a child.
