10/17/2020 The Sophie Fund Hosts its 5th Annual Ithaca Cupcake Baking Contest

We were so honored to be chosen as this year’s beneficiary of The Sophie Fund’s 5th Annual (Virtual) Cupcake Contest Fundraiser! This year, they were kind enough to donate the funds raised from their Cupcake Button campaign to us to encourage mental wellbeing for our youngest community members. By the time their GoFundMe fundraiser wound down, they had raised $1,018 for our village.

Their planning and coordination made this possible, garnering support from sponsors such as Green Star Co-Op, Alternatives Federal Credit Union, Well Said Media, and several Ithaca and Cornell-affiliated organizations as well as bringing together Yuko Jingu of Akemi Food, Ashley Case of Case Sera Sera, Racquel Riccardi of Sinfully Delicious Baking Company, and Melissa Kenny of Sweet Melissa’s Ice Cream shop to judge the competition.
