It Takes a Village
to raise, educate, affirm, and inspire a child
Our mission is to advocate for educational equity and excellence for all students, particularly Black/African American, Hispanic/Latino/Latinx, low income, and any other underserved students within Tompkins County, through strategic community relationships, assessment of the local district’s practices and policies, and responsive programs and services.
We’re back open! We are still able to work remotely with you to provide support for children and families, if you are unable to come to us. If you have an urgent service need or question, please call or text 607-288-2571 and someone will respond to you as soon as possible. If you’d like to contribute to our Village at Ithaca Emergency Fund, you may do so using the button below.
We acknowledge the commitment to equity that many of our region’s school districts have embraced in the recent past. In particular, we applaud the Ithaca City School District’s commitment to equity. However, we also note that all public school systems, even those engaged in equity work, are inherently racist institutions built upon a foundation of oppression and white supremacy.
